Sarojini

I draw to stay sane. It helps me understand the distinction between, the world inside me and the world around me. I draw when I’m bored, when I’m anxious, when I’m curious, when I feel like it. But I can write only when I can’t hold it back in anymore. And my art in my opinion is more in the words. The drawings are juts the process.

A few words about your thoughts on the artwork & song:

There is a sense of rooted ness to the song, it’s reminiscent of things that have existed over the years, across generations, a folk lore you pass on and a prayer you send almost.

Which is tied together and elevated so elegantly, by the gentle sounds of water and musical instruments in the backdrop.

The drawing to me was an attempt to capture, the romance of the everyday ordinary, and the context of the people, potentially singing these songs, while living and working as one wiht the river, being at ease wiht it.
